The imager does not only fit into 2D printing industry, but also suit for 3D printing as well. Due to the low cost of imager, it will be more popular.
Since e-paper displays have a sequential-remembrance display process, and each frame has its own particular image, the amount of data to be read out is much less than in a liquid crystal display. Therefore, the e-paper screen can save a great deal of power.
It should be noted that e-paper screen as a unique characteristic of the display technology may appear to have the same function as the optical plastic optical lens. However, these are two different technologies. The e-paper screen is a flexible sheet of an optical filter that displays images (or text) under low power and does not use an applied voltage, but the plastic optical lens is a solid object that is applied with an applied voltage and changes direction of the light.
Main materials of e-paper screen
There are a variety of materials that can be used to produce e-paper screens, and the most common are cellulose derivatives, TADF, SEDS and so on.
Because of its multi-function, the use of 3D printing technology to print e-paper screens will be a new direction in the development of e-paper technology.
Another application of e-paper screens
E-paper screens have a variety of applications, and can be used in a wide range of fields, from teaching and playing games to advertising. E-paper screens will be more popular in the future.
